Data collection terminal is a small-sized portable device with built –in barcode scanner and special software that allows you to manage the received data. Data collection terminal is a portable computer with mounted the scanner in itself. In different models are installed different operating systems. Software for data collection and bar code reading is usually included in the package, and moreover software can also be installed, which helps to solve a number of related tasks, such as making of pre-orders, etc. There are two types of data collection terminals - storage and radio terminals. The first type of such devices is used for preliminary data collection and subsequent transfer to the information system organization (1C etc.). These terminals for data collection is mobile variation of wired scanners in itself, which makes their use in large warehouses very convenient. Radio data terminals operate in continuous interaction device мanager and information center, being a part of a computer network. Due to this, data obtained during scanning of bar codes is immediately becomes available for processing in a single system.
